WiFi Connected
The DeepLight® 12 is WiFi capable, and can be connected to a local network, giving it the ability to periodically check for software updates. Future updates will expand the functionality of your unit with additional lighting modes and integrations, such as sound reactivity and a web-based control panel.
designed for maximum visual quality
Rather than starting from an engineering-first perspective and working within the bounds of what’s practical, or what we knew would work, we have designed the DeepLight® 12 to push the limits to the very edge of what’s possible.
We work with over a dozen different vendors and suppliers, primarily here in the United States, to custom design, source and manufacture the parts that go into the DeepLight® 12. We do not outsource our production; every unit is hand-assembled by the artist at our workshop in Indianapolis.
Every major component, from the maximum-density LEDs, to the anodized aluminum frame, to the curved 2-way glass mirrors, are designed for the purpose of creating the best visual effect possible.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Can I take my DeepLight 12 unit to a music festival, or otherwise use it as a mobile installation?
DeepLight® 12 units are art pieces intended for display in a single location. They are not intended to be used as mobile installations or at high-stress / high-risk environments such as music festivals. Frequent assembly and disassembly will cause wear. There are several considerations that went into making our mobile festival installation which are absent from our production pieces. Our mobile installation takes considerable wear over the course of each festival seasons due to the stressful environment of music festivals - enduring dust, heat, rain, wind, and impacts means our mobile festival unit requires constant maintenance and replacement of parts to remain functional and in optimal condition.
While it's certainly not impossible to turn a DeepLight® 12 unit into a mobile installation, just as we would advise against taking a painting or flatscreen television to a music festival, we strongly discourage such usage with any DeepLight® 12 unit.
Q: Do you ship worldwide?
We ship domestically via UPS and internationally via DHL. Every piece is shipped in a Pelican 0370 Protective case with custom cut foam inserts. International buyers may want to consider purchasing the protective case, as it is not included with your order and the cost of return shipping may be substantial. Please see our Order Page for more information.Q: Is the DeepLight 12 sound-reactive?
All units will be shipped with hardware support for audio-reactivity, and an audio-reactive mode will be included in a future software update. It’s a challenge to get audio reactive animations to look really good, and we have a high bar we aim to achieve before we’re ready to push this feature out.Setup and controls

Cleaning Your Unit
To clean your unit, use a lens cleaning cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner such as Sprayway Glass Cleaner.DO NOT spray the glass of your unit directly, as this could cause the cleaning solution to drip down into the unit. Spray the glass cleaner onto the lens cleaning cloth, and then wipe down your unit.
